A. General Requirements

The minimum standard requirements for the Jurnal Pendidikan dan Pengajaran Guru Sekolah Dasar (JPPGuseda) are as follows:

  1. Manuscripts must be written in English.

  2. Each author’s name must be accompanied by a complete affiliation address and a corresponding email.

  3. The manuscript length should be between 6–12 pages. Manuscripts exceeding 12 pages will be considered only at the discretion of the editors.

  4. Authors are required to use a reference manager (e.g., Zotero, Mendeley, or EndNote) for citation and reference formatting, following the APA 7th edition style.

  5. Manuscripts must be prepared using the official JPPGuseda Manuscript Template.

B. Structure of the Manuscript

Authors are strongly encouraged to structure their manuscripts as follows:

1. Title

  • Written in sentence case, without acronyms or abbreviations.

  • Avoid unnecessary words such as “case study” in the title.

2. Abstract

  • Written in English.

  • One paragraph of 150–200 words.

  • Should not contain citations.

  • Must state the main objective, research design, methodology, key findings, and conclusions.

3. Introduction

  • Include the background of the issue or problem, urgency of the research, and research gap compared to existing studies.

  • Clearly state the novelty and the purpose of the research.

  • Do not include tables or figures in this section.

  • Limit to a maximum of two pages.

  • A review of relevant literature and development of hypotheses (if any) may be included.

  • Use in-text citation format (Author, Year) and reference managers (Zotero, Mendeley, EndNote) to ensure accuracy.

4. Method

  • For research articles: describe research design, data collection techniques, number of respondents, and analysis methods.

  • For non-empirical (conceptual or literature study) articles: explain the flow of argument, information-gathering methods, analytical techniques, and criteria/standards used in the critical review.

  • Equations may be included, with sources cited appropriately.

5. Results and Discussion

  • Present findings clearly, without including raw data.

  • Address:

    • What? – the results or findings.

    • Why? – analysis and scientific reasoning.

    • What else? – comparison with other studies and implications.

  • Results and discussion should be integrated (not presented as separate sections).

  • Only final results of statistical analyses or hypothesis tests should be presented, not calculation processes.

  • Use tables, figures, or graphs (with narrative explanation) to support the discussion.

  • Prioritize primary sources (journals) when citing references.

6. Conclusion

  • Written briefly, concisely, and clearly in one paragraph.

  • Summarize the main findings and highlight the novelty of the study.

  • Recommendations for practice or further research may be added in the same paragraph or in a separate final paragraph.

7. Acknowledgement

  • Express appreciation for individuals or institutions contributing to the research (e.g., funding, licensing, consultation, or data collection assistance).

8. References

  • Placed at the end of the manuscript.

  • Follow the APA 7th edition for in-text citations and the reference list.

  • Do not use footnotes.

  • Ensure every cited reference appears in the reference list (and vice versa).

  • References listed as “in press” must already be accepted for publication.

  • Minimum of 30 references, with at least 75% from primary sources (journals) published within the last 10 years.
