Copyright and Licensing Policy

Jurnal Pendidikan dan Pengajaran Guru Sekolah Dasar (JPPGuseda) operates as a fully Open Access journal. To ensure the proper management, dissemination, and protection of the published works, the journal has established the following copyright and licensing terms:

1. Copyright Transfer

By submitting a manuscript to JPPGuseda, authors agree to the following conditions regarding copyright and publishing rights:

  • Copyright Assignment: If and when the manuscript is accepted for publication, the copyright of the article shall be assigned to the journal, acting on behalf of Universitas Pakuan as the publisher.

  • Publishing Rights: The intended copyright assignment grants the journal the exclusive right to publish, reproduce, distribute, and display the article in various forms and media globally, including digital archives, repositories, and physical reprints. The journal maintains the formal publishing rights to all published articles.

2. Licensing and Open Access

Despite the transfer of copyright to the publisher, JPPGuseda ensures that the content remains openly and freely accessible to the global academic community.

  • All articles published in JPPGuseda are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

  • Under this license, the public (including the original authors) is legally permitted to:

    • Share: Copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.

    • Adapt: Remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially.

  • Attribution Requirement: The sole condition of this license is that proper credit must be given to the original authors, and JPPGuseda must be explicitly acknowledged as the original venue of publication. A link to the formal CC BY 4.0 license must also be provided.

3. Author Retained Rights

Even after assigning the copyright to JPPGuseda, authors retain the following specific rights:

  • The right to use the substance of the article in their own future works, including lectures, books, and theses.

  • The right to self-archive the published version (the final PDF layout produced by the journal) in institutional or disciplinary repositories, provided that JPPGuseda is properly cited as the original publisher.

  • All proprietary rights other than copyright, such as patent rights and trademark rights.
