Article Posting and Self-Archiving Policy

Jurnal Pendidikan dan Pengajaran Guru Sekolah Dasar (JPPGuseda) strongly encourages the responsible sharing of scholarly work to promote open scientific dialogue, maximize the impact of research, and adhere to international Open Access standards. This self-archiving policy defines the terms under which authors may share different versions of their manuscripts, in alignment with the best practices of Scopus and DOAJ-indexed journals.

1. Submitted Version (Preprint)

The Submitted Version is the original manuscript drafted by the author(s) prior to formal peer review.

  • Archiving Rights: Authors are permitted to post the preprint version of their manuscript on personal websites, institutional repositories, or recognized non-commercial preprint servers (e.g., EdArXiv, OSF Preprints) at any time.

  • Conditions: The posted manuscript must clearly indicate that it is a preprint and has not yet undergone peer review.

  • Post-Publication Update: Once the manuscript is accepted and published in JPPGuseda, authors must update the preprint record to acknowledge its publication and provide the official DOI linking to the final published article.

2. Accepted Manuscript (Postprint)

The Accepted Manuscript (AAM) is the version of the manuscript that has successfully passed the double-blind peer-review process and been accepted for publication, but has not yet undergone professional copyediting, typesetting, or layout formatting by the journal.

  • Archiving Rights: Authors may deposit the Accepted Manuscript in their institutional repositories or funder-mandated repositories immediately upon formal acceptance (Zero Embargo).

  • Conditions: The archived document should not be formatted to replicate the journal’s final layout. Authors must include the following explicit statement on the title page of the document:

"This is the peer-reviewed, accepted version of the manuscript. It has not yet been copyedited or typeset. The final Version of Record is published in Jurnal Pendidikan dan Pengajaran Guru Sekolah Dasar (JPPGuseda) and is available online via DOI: [Insert final DOI link]."

3. Published Version (Version of Record)

The Version of Record (VoR) is the final, definitive PDF version of the article that has been copyedited, typeset, and officially published on the JPPGuseda website.

  • Archiving Rights: Because JPPGuseda is a fully Open Access journal, authors are freely permitted and encouraged to share, upload, and distribute the Version of Record immediately upon publication.

  • Approved Platforms: Authors may upload the final PDF to academic social networks (e.g., ResearchGate, Academia.edu), scholarly collaboration networks (SCNs), institutional repositories, public databases, and personal websites.

  • Conditions: Any sharing of the published version must respect the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). Authors must ensure that the journal is appropriately credited as the original publisher and that the official DOI link to the journal's website is included in the metadata of the platform where it is shared.

4. Citation and Metadata Requirements

When posting or self-archiving any version of the manuscript across the internet, authors must always:

  • Clearly indicate the version being shared (Preprint, Accepted Manuscript, or Published Version).

  • Provide a full and accurate citation to the article as it appears in JPPGuseda.

  • Include the official, clickable DOI link directing readers to the formal publication record on the journal's website.

By adhering to this policy, JPPGuseda ensures the ethical dissemination of knowledge while maximizing the visibility and citation potential of the authors' work.
